Westmister 2010 News, by Rosemary Miller This year’s Standard Schnauzer entry was
unusually small. Only five dogs entered, and four showed. The judge
couldn’t have made a bad decision, as he was faced with four
excellent examples of our breed. Judge Dr. John A. Reeve–Newson took
his time reviewing the three dogs and one bitch entered. In the end
it was Zorro as best of breed (Ch. Pepper Tree Zorro V Morgenwald)
owned by Penny Duffy and bred by Earl and Arden Holst. Michael
Thomas, the junior handler that impressed everyone at our national
was OS with Ch. County Clare’s Jewel of Beauty and Award of Merit
went to Ch. Pepper Tree Apollo V Silverado owned by Judith Legan but
also bred by Earl and Arden.

Thanks for the great turnout at the June Picnic. Good fun was had by all.
Tracking was wonderful and several dogs were awarded new titles - CD and TDI.
